What does Warm Tones and Cool Tones mean?

Warm colors refer to red, yellow and oranges, while cooler colors are purple, blue and green hues. Any floor with undertones of warm colors are considered warm while cool undertones are considered cool.

Why Warm Tones?

Warm tones create a space that is perfect for entertaining and gathering. That makes it ideal for living rooms, dens, ect. Instead of a bright color on the floor you’ll most likely move toward more neutral colors with warm undertones.

Why Cool Tones?

Cool tones have come into style recently with modernism, that doesn't mean that's the only style you can use these floors with. Cool tones are often thought of as more subdued, but that’s not always the case. However, cool tones create a space that tends to be more relaxed and calming. They are ideal for your bedroom or private spaces. Using lighter colored cool tones can also make smaller spaces seem larger and more open. Just as with warm tones, you’ll probably drift to more neutral tone, such as greys.
